Hocking Hills is incredibly popular, especially during spring and fall, and weekends can be very crowded with hikers and tourists. If you want quiet vows, open photo backdrops, and a more intimate experience, choosing a Tuesday through Thursday date can completely transform the feel of your day. A mid-week elopement allows for slower moments, fewer distractions, and a more intentional atmosphere


Step 3: Look Into Ceremony Locations

When it comes to iconic photo locations, Ash Cave is a favorite for a reason. The massive recessed cave, seasonal waterfall, and open gravel floor create a dramatic yet peaceful setting that works beautifully for both ceremonies and portraits. It’s also one of the more accessible spots in the park, making it ideal for couples who plan to invite a small number of guests. Another stunning location is Old Man's Cave, known for its layered rock formations, waterfalls, and charming stone bridges. It feels straight out of a storybook and offers incredible variety for portraits. However, it is one of the busiest areas in the park, which makes timing and weekday planning even more important if you’re hoping for a quieter experience.
